Alcamo
Ma a cu appaitteni? (Whom you belong?)
That´s the classic question in Sicily, people there wants to know who are you, where are you from, who are your parents in order to understand habits of your area of origin.
I, Ylenia, belong to Alcamo, nice city at the bottom of the "Monte Bonifato" and with a unique seaside, kilometers of gold beaches not very well known (sadly or luckily). Alcamo is situated in between Palermo and Trapani (same distance to both airports), its quarters are called with saints names. I was living in "Santa Lucia", going to school to "Santa Maria" and when I go back now for holiday I sleep at "Cristo Redentore"; streets names... well they´re just unknown details.
There is a very nice castle right in the centre of the city (Castello dei Conti di Modica) and a nice square where is a pleasure walking in between the old streets enjoying the city.
Close to Alcamo you can find natural Spa and the mountain, great for trekking; to not forget the amazing beaches that is worth a visit.
Well, said that, if someone will ask you "a cu appaitteni?" you can answer : "Ararcamu".

Torre del Greco
Don't worry in Torre del Greco none will ask you whom you belong... we are too many.
Nice (...) city at the bottom of the vulcano Vesuvio and with unique seaside (not the cleanest), black beach (vulcanic not dirty) not kilometric and not very well known by tourists (lukily).
Torre del Greco is located 10km south of Naples and the dialect is quite similar, except for the "o" transformed in "u".
Dispite of the fact that is a big city with almost 100thousand inhabitants Torre del Greco has no Traffic lights, that demonstrates how the drivers are correct and skilled in the taffic.
Except some negative aspects the city keeps the ancient tradition, folklore is not missing expecially in the markets and at the pier.
Under the shadow of the "gigante buono" (litterally the nice giant - the Vesuvio) the city survived after many Vesuvio eruptions and some rests of lava (not on fire...) are visible in the city.
For any other info wikipedia, google, yahoo might be for sure helpful ;-).
